For a decade, Give Girls A Chance (GGAC) has worked to open doors for girls and women across Nigeria — through scholarships, mentorship, and skills training that turn potential into opportunity. What started as a grassroots organization in Abuja in 2016 has grown into a movement reaching thousands of girls and women, earning recognition including the Commonwealth Points of Light Award and the Nigerian Women Achievers Award.
As we approach our 10-year anniversary, we've been investing in the governance, strategic counsel, and networks that help an organization grow into a lasting institution. That's why we're excited to introduce the members joining GGAC's Advisory Board.
Why a Board Matters
Ten years in, GGAC carries real infrastructure, real partnerships, and real responsibility to the girls and communities we serve. Reaching more girls, chasing bigger grants, and building programs that last take more than good intentions — they take diverse expertise and people who can open doors we can't open alone.
Meet the Board
We selected each member for the specific strength they bring to GGAC's next chapter:
Kabir Adamu, Managing Director of Beacon Consulting Limited, brings expertise in risk and security as we expand our footprint.
Akanni Damilola, a youth leader who has reached thousands of girls through education and advocacy, brings a grassroots, girl-centered perspective.
Moni Baruwa brings a decade of experience turning strategy into scalable execution and building corporate partnerships for social impact organizations.
Kemi Yusuf, Vice President at AbbVie, brings global corporate leadership and a firsthand understanding of how education transforms a girl's trajectory.
Boluwatife Ojikutu, a legal and tax professional with a decade of volunteer service in education access, strengthens our governance foundation.
Together, they bring the range GGAC needs: risk and operations, grassroots advocacy, strategic partnerships, global leadership, and legal stewardship.
Looking Ahead
We're stepping into our next 10 years with a clearer sense of where we're going — and a board that will help us get there. Stay with us as we mark this milestone anniversary and build toward the decade ahead.
Welcome to the team.
